Meet Mairead (Ma-raid)!

This sweet girl came into the shelter as a stray and we were unable to find her owners.

When Mairead came in she was very scared of people and would hide in or under her bed whenever we were around but with time and patience she is slowly learning that humans provide food and love. She has begun to learn what she likes which currently includes head scratches and face boops. Cuddles are currently on the No list but with time and patience we believe she will come to love these too.

Mairead is looking for a small family with no other pets or children who are happy to continue allowing her to learn what she likes and decide what kind of cat she will be, but we suspect she will become an affectionate lap cat.
