About Bolero
**In foster care in Lewisham NSW**
Bolero is a sweet, little kitten who adores being showered with love! There is nothing he likes more than climbing onto a blankie in your lap to get scritches and pats while he purrs the day away. Of course, it doesn't necessarily have to be *your* lap — visitors to his foster home have been known to end up cuddling and napping with him far longer than they intended to!
Like most kittens, Bolero loooooves play time. While he thrives on bonding with his humans through interactive toys, he also is able to entertain himself: currently his favourite independent game is batting around his ping pong ball around the house. His dribbling skills are getting seriously good! Maybe he's just been watching too much of the World Cup...! The little guy has also been receptive to training, learning 'come' and 'sit' fairly quickly.
Bolero has been in foster care in a home setting since he was rescued and is well socialised. He is litter-trained, gentle with human hands and reasonably easy to handle for things like being carried, nail clipping and teeth brushing. Around the house he is inquisitive but generally well-behaved, though (as with all kittens) he will need the proper guidance as he continues to grow into his teen years and beyond.
If you've been thinking about bringing a kitten home, Bolero is a wonderful, easy boy who would love to be considered! He is an A+++++ kitten and a stellar addition to most families.
Like all Maggie's pets, Bolero is microchipped, desexed and vaccinated.

MY IDEAL HOME: I will flourish in a loving and nurturing indoor home with people who are excited for kittenhood! Lots of play, love and cuddles await! The trick with me is to introduce things slowly the first time, so I can feel confident around it quicker. In my new home, it'd be good to start with a smaller, cosy homebase so I can feel safe and secure before expanding things to the rest of the place. It shouldn't take too long (in my current foster home it was less than one day!), but I like doing things the slow and steady way.
MY ENERGY LEVEL: Does "medium for a kitten" make sense? I am very much a kitten who will get zoomies a couple of times a day and will want to play and interact with you, but I can also amuse myself with independent toys and really do love a good afternoon nap.
MY SUITABILITY TO CHILDREN: As a gentle super-snuggler, I get on well with older children or teens. For younger children under 10, I will need some time to be introduced in a calm setting to get used to things. Slow and steady! I'll get there eventually, I just need a bit more time around rowdiness and unpredictably loud tiny humans.
MY SUITABILITY TO CATS AND DOGS: Other cats? With careful introductions and patience, I'll get there. Are you sensing a pattern? Yep, the slow and steady way please! I haven't met any dogs at this stage.

Our foster carer will contact you when we receive your application to arrange a time for you to meet with their foster pet.
We want your adoption through Maggie's to be a good experience so we will occasionally suggest a different cat or dog that may suit your situation better and the needs of the individual pet.
All our pets leave for their new homes on a two-week trial. At the end of the trial, we will transfer the microchip into your name and provide you with the pets vet certificates. Once you receive the Certificate of Identification from council, your adoption will be complete.
Please consider, that a Maggie's Pet is a pet for Life, before adopting.
