About Odin - 4 Year Old Poodle X (On Trial 3/6/23)
Odin is a 4 year old Poodle Cross. He weighs in at 11.5kg. He lives for human company. He loves his long daily walks, where he begins very excited and tends to pull but settles into a brisk walk and is happy to meet other dogs on the way. Odin has a wonderful gentle, happy and easy going nature.
LIKES:
. Going for long walks
. Food and treats
. Playing with his toys
. Being inside and sleeping inside
. Car rides to the beach and parks
. Snuggling on the lounge at night
. Children and cats (he’s fine with my 2yr old grandchild)
. Sharing our house with a similar gentle 3yr old female dog and occasional visit from Border Collie female
DISLIKES:
. Being left on his own at home, or not being able to see where you are in the house.
MORE ABOUT ODIN:
. He will come and sit on command
. He is learning to sit at the kerbside on his walks
. He is an indoor dog
. He is housetrained and uses the dog door flap
. Sleeps all through the night in his own bed downstairs with another dog nearby
. He will bark at a loud noise or follow the other dogs when they bark but not a nuisance barker.
. He is very smart and would respond to further training.
. He has a low shedding coat that will need regular clipping.
. He would greatly benefit with sharing his new home with at least one other dog
Odin spent all of his life with one owner and now gets very anxious when left alone at home. He needs someone experienced with separation anxiety and willing to guide him through the processes of learning how to cope with his anxieties.
Odin is in foster care in Valentine NSW (Lake Macquarie, south of Newcastle). He is only available for adoption within NSW. His adoption fee is $700 and he is desexed, vaccinated, treated for fleas, worms, vet checked and microchipped.
