About Robbie - 8 Week Old American Staffy (Trial)
Meet the super cute, expert snuggler Robbie. He is a happy go lucky puppy, who is ready for the big wide world and to begin a life full of adventures.
Robbie's tail never stops wagging. He is always happy to see you. He just loves being with you and will follow you everywhere.
He looks to you for guidance and reassurance when trying new things, but will then give anything a go. He is currently learning how to be the bestest dog. Trying his hardest at basic commands, toilet training, using the doggy door, sleeping in his crate and walking on a lead.
Robbie is a fast learner but like all puppies, he will benefit from puppy school and needs a family who is willing to commit to consistent training, regular exercise, socialisation, mental stimulation and opportunities for games, walks, and lots of play.
He is currently living with his brother Pete, who is also up for adoption, and three small male dogs over the age of ten. He also lives with two small humans who are seven and eight who he adores.
Robbie is going to be a medium to large dog with loads of love to give. He will need someone in his life who is prepared to have a large dog and all that goes with it.
Robbie would also benefit from having a social doggie companion that is used to puppies and who he could learn from. He could however happily adjust to being an only dog if his humans were around more often than not and showered him with attention.
Robbie has not been tested with cats or pocket pets but he has a calm nature and is young enough to learn how to interact appropriately with them.
Robbie is microchipped and has had his first vaccination. He is also flea, tick and worm treated.
He is not yet desexed and will need to be at 6 months with proof of sterilisation from one of our approved vets.
Robbie's overview
- Needs a fun loving family committed to ongoing puppy training, socialisation, exercise, play and lots of walks.
- Needs a family committed to continue toilet training.
- Loves humans so needs to be an inside/outside dog with a bed inside at night and share your adventures.
- Fully fenced large yard with high fences.
- He will need to be returned to a DRN-approved vet for desexing when he is 6 months old.
Robbie's adoption fee is $700 which includes his desexing when he is old enough. It also includes his first two vaccinations. He has been treated for fleas and worms, and is microchipped.
Robbie is in foster care in New Lambton Heights, NSW. Since he is not yet desexed, he is only available for adoption to the Lower Hunter region (Newcastle, Lake Macquarie, Port Stephens, Maitland and Cessnock) plus Central Coast and Sydney. He'll need to be returned to one of our approved vets for desexing when he's 5 to 6 months old.
