About Daphne
Pretty little DAPHNE is a Bull Arab pup born on 10 March 2023.
Daphne has already captured the heart of her foster mum, who says she's friendly, enthusiastic and keen to learn. She’s also great with kids, as you can see in one of the videos, where she’s playing with her foster mum’s grandson.
A "pleaser" by nature, she is very placid at night, has her dinner and sleeps through to morning on her own bed.
Daphne only barks to alert her foster family to a visitor or an abnormal occurrence.
She wants to be friends with every dog she meets, although she has graciously accepted that the resident canine, an old female, is not at all keen on her.
She'll chase the resident felines if they run across the yard in front of her, but has no intention of harming them. She's a gentle and loving girl.
As you can see from the photos, she's learning to respect cattle and sheep and she loves ripe mulberries!
There's no better companion or family dog than a well-loved and well-socialised Bull Arab - and Daphne is all of that and more. She is calm, affectionate, clever, playful, loyal and sweet-tempered. She would make a delightful companion for an active individual or family.
Daphne would be the ideal dog for someone who is able to take their dog to work. Her behaviour is exemplary and she simply loves human company.
Although bred originally as a herding and hunting dog, these days the Bull Arab is treasured more for her loyalty and affection to her family than her hunting abilities.
If these are the attributes you're looking for, we recommend Daphne to you.
Preference will be given to homes where someone is around most of the time and/or there is another compatible dog for Daphne to play with.
As always, secure fencing is essential.
If you are interested in meeting this lovely pup and can offer her a suitable, safe and loving forever home, PLEASE COMPLETE THE ONLINE ADOPTION APPLICATION at https://southerndownsark.com.au/apply-to-adopt/ and one of our volunteers will be in touch.
Daphne is desexed, vaccinated and microchipped. She is also flea and worm-treated.
