Maxine is a sweet, timid girl looking for an owner that can help build her confidence. It may take her a while to settle in, but with some patience and time she will come out of her shell. She is not suited to first time dog owners, and needs a quiet, calm, experienced household with dog savvy teenagers and adults. She will require ongoing training and her owner would benefit from seeking a professional trainer. She is very food motivated, which will assist in building her confidence with people, and general training. She may be comfortable with another calm, sociable dog, but is not suited to a home with cats or small animals. She needs access to a secure yard while she gradually adjusts to the outside world.
