About Desmond
Desmond is a friendly and sweet natured rescue pup who loves to be showered with affection. He is polite and courteous to people and other dogs, no matter their size or breed. Although he isn't interested in playing with other dogs, he still enjoys going to the dog park for a run every now and then. He has great recall and is easy to walk on a leash; in fact, he won't pull you along!
Desmond gets along well with cats too, although he can't help but chase them when they run - it's like a game! Even though Desmond likes to put his face right up to people for cuddles or put his head over your shoulder, he understands boundaries and knows various commands like stay, up (to get in the car), bed, etc. He also loves car rides with his head out the window, rain or shine!
The perfect home for Desmond would be one that includes another dog as a companion (as long as it isn't too playful or boisterous) and possibly even a cat if it's fast and dog savvy. Although Desmond is great with kids, an older person or one who is unsteady on their feet may not be the best fit due to Desmond's clumsiness.
Desmond may sneak food if given the opportunity, but responds well to gentle discouragement. All in all, this delightful pup will make any family lucky enough to adopt him very happy!
