About Lacey (60335)
Lacey's story starts on ANZAC day 2023, where this beautiful leggy lady came to us as a stray. She had a brief adoption after waiting nearly a year, but unfortunately the resident cat in the home could not cope with his new canine companion. Lacey has been in foster for several months now where we have learnt who she truly is. Lacey is housetrained, likes to sleep inside and have access to the outdoors. She can be very independent and loves nothing more than sunbaking her days away and self settles when her carers are at work for the day. Lacey's lead skills have improved dramatically while in foster and her basic manners are really coming along. She would highly benefit from participating in training classes, not only to better develop her manners and obedience, but to build on her dog to dog skills and help build the bond between Lacey and her new owner. She doesn't dive in to cuddly relationships, but her foster carers note that the affectionate side of her is really starting to shine. Lacey is recommended to be the only pet in the home, she is inexperienced with dogs and prefers her own company. With guidance she could learn to play with her dog friends. She has no prior history living with children and recommended to be rehomed with children that are over 12 years due to her large size. Lacey is looking for a leader that has the skills to build her good qualities, but also to enforce her rules and boundaries. Our lovely Lacey has the whole community behind her, eagerly awaiting her happy adoption story. Are you her happy ever after?
