Meet Cookie!

Brought to the shelter as a young and nervous mum at the beginning of March, Cookie has been in our care taking care of her children, who have now flown the nest, and is looking for someone who will take care of her. Cookie is still very cautious around people, but is starting to see the benefits of being loved by humans.

Cookie is suuuper playful and chatty, and her love language is quality time over physical touch; she will sit and chat with you for as long as you'd like, and may occasionally climb into your lap to see if you are hiding any secrets (secret food maybe!). She likes to play with you hands in the hopes that it will magically produce a wand toy, and may occasionally give your hand little licks and kisses if she is feeling friendly. She loves the other cats in the shelter, and would really benefit from having a feline friend.

At this stage, Cookie is looking for a home that will help her in her behavioural journey. She is needing a family that don't mind that she doesn't want to be picked up and touched just yet, who are happy to wait for that day to arrive. Once she is comfortable and settled, she may be one for cuddles, but that day has yet to arrive.
