About Avalon
If you have lots of patience, kindness and commitment, Avalon will be your very best friend.
Avalon is a pedigree Chihuahua girl who has not been socialised and therefore, can be quite fearful in new situations. It takes her some time to trust and to become confident around new people but once she realises that you love her, she won’t look back.
Unfortunately, the breeder tried rehoming Avalon and her new family gave up on her too easily and Avalon was surrendered to us.
Since coming into foster care, Avalon has been a work in progress but once she let her guard down, she became the most loving, friendly, loyal and sweet little girl.
Avalon is great with other dogs and would do well with a little doggie sibling to show her the ropes.
She is frightened of children and would do best in a calm, quiet home without lots of visitors and chaos. She needs her new pawrents to understand that it might take quite some time before she feels safe, but it will happen.
Avalon loves treats and will beg you to share your food with her. She will gently scratch your leg to know that she needs to try your food and will think she has won the jackpot if she is offered some.
Helping Avalon let her guard down will be a process but if you persevere, your bond will be strong.
Avalon is not used to going for walks and it is not recommended this even be attempted for the first few months as Avalon needs to feel safe and secure at home before venturing out.
Avalon is crate trained and we recommend a crate be available for her to retreat to if she is scared.
Please do not apply for this beautiful girl if you are not in it for the long haul. Avalon deserves a long-term commitment and at just under 3 years old, she has a whole lifetime ahead of her.
If you think you can offer Avalon the love she deserves, please go to the website www.karmasplacerescue.org.au and fill in the online adoption inquiry form.
Avalon is located in Wondai QLD
