Hi, I’m Rey.
I’m a young guy looking for a loving family who have owned dogs before and can provide me with the love and care I truly deserve. I can be a little timid around new people at first, but once I know you I’m very affectionate and love to cuddle up to humans.
Due to my initial timidity, I would be best with children who are 10 years and older so they can understand directions from their parents and leave me be if I’m feeling overwhelmed. I can also be very excitable and do some puppy mouthing sometimes.
I love playing with loves, especially soft ones. I would love a home with a yard and to be able to come inside and be with my family sometimes. I love going for walks and I’m learning how to walk in a straight line, I may need extra help with this. Group classes would be an excellent place to kick-start my training at home!
Unfortunately, I was returned to the facility as I was being quite destructive when no one was home. It's best for my new owners to know this so they can put in preventative measures, and ensure they are aware I may need one or two professional training sessions to help me with this behaviour.
I have met other dogs at the facility and I tend to get along well with them. If you have dogs at home, bring them in to meet me! Fill out the expression of interest below.
Adoption details
Please remember that the pets we have available sometimes come to us with no history, so we do our very best to get to know them while they are here and to match them to your home. Sometimes animals behave differently outside of the shelter environment, so please do keep in touch after adoption so that we can help you settle your new family member in and address any unexpected behaviours.
