About 🏐Wilson🏐
Wilson is an all round cool guy.
Wilson spends most of the day hanging out on top of his scratcher having a nap and taking in the scenery outside. He isn’t quite a lap cat even though he doesn’t mind being picked up for a cuddle, but with time and love we think that he will enjoy snoozing on the couch or bed next to you. But don’t let his sleepy demeanour fool you! He loves to play with toys on a stick and has a particular favourite in his foster home that he likes to “kill” the feather and then drag the whole toy away from you. He enjoys a pat and has a sweet little purr that he lets out when he’s particularly happy.
This lad is not a picky man when it comes to his food but because of his squishy face he does struggle to eat so will often make a mess so needs a home who is understanding of this. He has had a dental while in our care and while he doesn’t have that many teeth left it’s important that he keeps them healthy going forward.
Wilson is even mostly cooperative about having his face cleaned but would benefit from a home experienced with squishy faces or one willing to learn how to best help him. Currently he needs help with his face twice a day and will also happily enjoy a quick brush at the same time. Just in case you were worried about overwhelming him he will definitely let you know when he’s done by whacking the brush away or trying to chomp on it.
His ideal home would be on the quieter side but wouldn’t mind if there were a number of people to cuddle him and pay him attention. He also wouldn’t mind if there were children 10 years plus as long as they were kind and respectful of him while he settled in. He doesn’t feel the need to run marathons at seven years old so he would happily suit apartment living as long as there’s a sunny window to sleep in front of.
Wilson is not so chill with other cats and it’s unlikely he will be okay with dogs for similar reasons, so he is looking for a home as an only pet. We know this can be frustrating but know that we don’t make this decision unless absolutely necessary.
