About Sam
Sam has been in our care for the last few weeks.
He is 4 years old (5 on 4th June).
Sam was in acreage with a little dashie.
His previous owners worked long hours and he was getting bored and they realised it wasn’t fair for him.
He hasn’t been out in the big bad world and spent most of his life on acreage. So that’s what we are looking for.
He isn’t a guard dog and no grunt at all in him. He is a big sooky La La.
We have tested him at parks and suburbia situations and he doesn’t cope.
He seems to like the company of smaller dogs. We have tested him with all types of dogs and he is not reactive to any.
He can be aloof, but that’s from his life been turned upside down.
He is a sheep in wolf clothing, so don’t apply if you want a tough dog. This boy is sweet, gentle and scared of the big bad world.
The best home for Sam is a massive yard or acreage with a little friend. Someone that’s home abit and someone that is willing to put in some effort with some gentle basic training.

Adoption details
We shortlist and contact families who may fit the dogs needs. If indications are positive, normally after sleeping on it, a home check is organised, then an adoption agreement is completed, adoption donation (variable on account of age and health of individual dog) is transferred and the dog will become part of your family.
All our dogs have had a consultation with our vet, are desexed, vaccinated, microchipped, wormed and treated for fleas. As we want every dog to be in its own family we try and fit dogs into forever homes, we don’t offer “Trials”. Naturally unforeseen circumstances arise occasionally where it’s preferable dogs come back to us as per our adoption agreement.
