About Sriracha
Sriracha is a seriously wonderful dog! She is best friend material who is looking for a home that will truly include her in all aspects of their life. If you know and love cattle dogs, you will know they are a loyal, loving, sometimes sassy but always fun and Srircha is a great representation of the breed.
She knows how to have a good time, playing and partying with her dog pals and just as quickly falling into your arms for a cuddle sesh. Sriracha loves hard and would happily curl up on the couch with you for hours, but please note that she has zero respect for personal space ;)
Sriracha does not love to be left alone but is certainly improving, she is crate trained and will sleep in a crate at night, she travels well in the car and her basic manners are decent although she does push boundaries where she can (she is a cattle dog after all). She does have some tendencies to guard food and toys from other dogs but it's fairly easily managed, however does require someone with a little bit of dog savviness to make sure she stays out of trouble.
MY IDEAL HOME: Sriracha is a truly wonderful dog and needs a wonderful family to match! She is not suitable for apartment living or where she will be left on her own all day (it's not her jam) but a family that will include her in their daily lives and are looking for a dog that they can do all the things with is ideal. Another dog in the home would be great, as would humans that are looking to do some extra fun dog things like scent work, agility, etc.
MY ENERGY LEVEL: Medium to high, Sriracha is first and foremost a working breed so she does need a decent daily walk and daily enrichment to keep her happy but she also does know how to settle and relax.
MY SUITABILITY TO CHILDREN: Sriracha is friendly with all humans big and small, however she does have some guarding tendencies (food and toys) which can be easily managed but for this reason, she is best with teens and up.
MY SUITABILITY TO CATS AND DOGS: Sriracha is friendly with other dogs, she currently lives in a busy, multi dog household and would happily share with another dog friend or two. She also lives with a cat and after some initial cheekiness, is now able to co-exist so could live with a confident cat and savvy pet parents.

We want your adoption through Maggie's to be a good experience so we will occasionally suggest a different cat or dog that may suit your situation better and the needs of the individual pet.
All our pets leave for their new homes on a two-week trial. At the end of the trial, we will transfer the microchip into your name and provide you with the pets vet certificates. Once you receive the Certificate of Identification from council, your adoption will be complete.
Please consider, that a Maggie's Pet is a pet for Life, before adopting.
