About Peanut
Introducing Peanut! Peanut is a Kelpie x Dachshund born on 19th June 2022.
Peanut came into the facility as an unmicrochipped stray & unfortunately no one came looking for her.
Peanut tested well with other dogs but had mixed results with cats. For this reason we're recommending a home with no cats or pocket pets.
Although Peanut is quite small, she is an energetic girl and not recommended for elderly owners. Please keep in mind that both Kelpies & Dachshunds are working breeds so she will require a lot of mental & physical stimulation.
She does pull quite hard on lead, however she shows no signs of separation anxiety or food aggression towards humans.
Peanut loves her human companions and meeting new friends.
She still has so much to learn about the world and life and would love to be in a home where she is included as a member of the family. Peanut will thrive in an environment that guides her with positive direction and lots of love and attention.
Please note that if you have an existing dog in residence, we will require a meet and greet to ensure they get along and will be always best buddies. When organising a meet and greet, we will require a current vaccination certificate for your existing dog to ensure that there is no chance of infecting the pups who are currently not up to date with their vaccinations.
Peanut's adoption fee is $600 and includes her desexing, lifetime registration & current vaccination. Peanut is also regularly treated for flea and worms.
To enquire more or to meet Peanut, please call 0499 900 272 or email ccacfpetadoptions@gmail.com and speak to one of our friendly staff.
Peanut is located in East Maitland.
Adoption details
If you are interested in adopting one of our animals, please contact us on 0499 900 272.
Staff will ask more about your lifestyle and the information you provide will helps us to achieve the best match between the dog or cat and their new home. We will also have certain adoption requirements that have to be approved prior to meeting the animal (eg fencing requirements, no young kids, etc)
Once all of your questions have been answered and adoption requirements met and approved, its time to meet your potential new furbaby. This meet will be conducted at the shelter in the Hunter Valley.
Should you have an existing dog in your life, we will require a meet and greet to ensure that they get along.
The final step (pending agreement by both parties) is the payment of the adoption fee and filling in of associated paperwork for your new furbaby.
Congratulations, you have now saved a life!
