About Shaw
Shaw is everything you could want in a puppy!
This extremely handsome little dude is just to die for – who couldn’t fall in love with this beautiful face?! Shaw loves his people and is friendly with everyone that he meets including children. He loves a good cuddle session with his foster carer and thoroughly enjoys getting pats. Out at the local café or bear garden he sits totally chilled out besides your chair, happy to watch the world going by and absorbs all the attention he gets for his good behaviour. At home, he is happy to independently lay in the sun in the backyard or have a game by himself with a toy. But of course it’s lots of fun when you join in and have a game with him as well!
Shaw was born in foster care after his mum was rescued from a Sydney pound heavily pregnant. He has been brought up on a good diet and had excellent exposure to a whole range of experiences during his critical socialisation time. Shaw and his siblings have seen and heard all the normal household things like vacuum cleaners and lawn mowers, had trips in the car, and met a range of people and other dogs.
In his current foster home, Shaw lives with another adult dog. He enjoys rumble and tug of war games with his doggy friend. Shaw would be well suited to living with another medium to large sized dog who also enjoys a good play session. Otherwise, he would also be fine to be an only dog in the home if he was given regular play dates with other dogs. Shaw is expected to be a large sized dog when fully grown (his mum is around 30kg) and have moderate activity levels. He will need daily walks and mental stimulation to keep him happy and healthy throughout his life.
Shaw has been learning his basic training from the get go and is progressing really well. He is getting his crate training and sleeps there through the night. Shaw is walking well on the lead and is quite confident out around traffic and other noises. At home, he is already toilet trained and loves a good snuggle on the couch. Shaw travels well in the car and will be a great buddy to take along with you on your journeys.
We are looking for a home that has experience training medium to large sized dogs and that will include Shaw in their daily activities. He should be allowed inside to spend time with the family and will need a bed inside to sleep on at night. His new owners will need to be committed to his ongoing training and socialisation to continue the great job that his foster carers have done. Shaw is going to be a wonderful companion and the type of dog who could do all of life with you.
If you would like to make this wonderful puppy a part of your family, then please complete a Dog Adoption Enquiry form on the Fetching Dogs website as the first step. Please include plenty of details about your prior dog experience and the type of lifestyle you can offer Shaw.

Don't see a breed attached to one of our dogs? That's because we don't breed label dogs of unknown genetic history. We can't guess at breeds but that's okay, because we can tell you about the dog's individual personality, character, and behaviour.
