About Ted
Ted (Aka Teddie Bear) is a typical Kelpie boy who loves to be the centre of attention.
Who says you can’t teach an old dog new tricks. Ted and his fostercarer attended a workshop recently where some really cool techniques were discovered. Ted did amazing and he just wants all of you to know he is ready for his new life.
He truly is a homebody, socialised with cats and chickens and not fussed by either of them. This will make him a great addition to any home with multiple animals. If fact he would also be fine with another canine companion.
The most important thing for any adopter to understand for Ted is,
1) He travels in a covered crate in the car as watching everything pass him by is a bit much for him.
2) He loves exploring and so requires a very secure yard.
Ted has a great recall, and he honestly, just wants a place to hang, somewhere that offers a really simple life. If you can provide him with a very calming presence and encourage him with lots of companionship, Ted will make an excellent companion if you are looking for a truly loyal pet.
We do not want applications from people who are likely to give up on him. He absolutely deserves a family who will love him and be dedicated to his needs.

We are a volunteer run organisation, who have their own jobs during the day, we don't have someone manning our phones 24/7, therefore cannot respond to all inquiries immediately.
Please be patient with us, as the unpredictable nature of rescue may prevent us from clearing all enquiries regularly.

We only consider applicants that have completed our adoption application form. The fastest way to have your questions answered is to include it in the application form. This will speed up your application with us, and help us communicate with you faster.
OUR ADOPTION PROCESS
1) Email and ask for an adoption application to be sent on farmdogzrescueinc@gmail.com
2) Check your SPAM FOLDER
3) Be sure to include any questions you may have on our adoption form.
4) This form does not obligate you to adopt, it simply gives us an idea of your situation and needs.
5) If you are successfully shortlisted, one of our volunteers will contact you to organise a time for you to meet the dog in question.
6) A home visit will need to be conducted.
7) Should all go to plan, you will be welcomed to start your 2-4 week trial period immediately.
8) The adoption fee will be required to be paid at the beginning of the trial period.
9) During the first week 2 week trial period, we encourage you to follow all our instructions to ensure the dog settles into your family structure.
10) If during the trail period you should need any assistance or you decide that this dog is not for you, you MUST contact our state adoptions coordinator ASAP. (The more notice the better, to ensure we have a foster carer available.)
Please note if the decision is made for you to return the dog for you to receive your payment you will, within 10 business days of the return of the dog.
