Yogi

Yogi wakes up, ready and raring to go all day every day. His is high energy and is looking for a playmate whether human or K9 from sun up to sun down. He will only be adopted into a home with another playful desexed dog. This is important, he needs a K9 companion to play his favourite games with, like wrestling, rough and tumble games and tug. Yogi loves toys and game sooo much, he at times pinches socks, children’s toys or shoes, so its handy to have plenty of tough dog toys and chews on hand. He also loves going on walks with his humans and is a good running companion too. Because of his energy and need to play, he needs a large yard.
Yogi is soooo affectionate. When not playing with his doggie mate, he is sitting next to you, or has his paw on you, or licking you, personal space does not exist in his world. He is supper excited to see you when you return home and my need reminders not to jump up. Yogi is after a home where he gets to live inside and out, he wants to be a part of your life and on occasions would like to come onto your bed for a cuddle. Yogi will love your company so much that he can miss you a bit when you’re not home and can start looking for mischief, so he would best suit to someone home most of the time.
Yogi is in a foster home with young children and is gentle when coming up to them for pats and to say hello, he enjoys following them around the yard while they are playing. Yogi doesn’t jump up on the children and plays catch and some tug of war at an appropriate level for the children. As with all dog’s supervision is a must and to teach children to be respectful to dogs.
Yogi can pull strongly on the lead when being walk, he has improved since coming into care but more training will be needed. He is a quick learner and is eager to please and loves to have food as a reward.
