About Marshall
Hi! I'm Marshall and I'm looking for a new family to call my own.
APPLICATION PROCESS APPLIES FOR MARSHALL
PLEASE COMPLETE THE BELOW APPLICATION FORM
https://forms.gle/yRaukYKfbNDxKcdC7
NOTE: You are unable to meet Marshall until/unless you have been notified that you are a successful applicant. An adoption cannot be approved unless you are able to come to the shelter to meet Marshall in person and bring any dogs you currently have with you.
What I need in my new home:
• Daily walks, trips to the park or beach, playtime in the backyard
• Further training with basic doggie manners
• To be allowed inside with my family as I've never been allowed inside before and I think it would be wonderful to curl up next to my people on a cold winter's night.
• A doggie playmate would be great, if not then lots of socialising with other dogs. I have previously lived with another dog, however at the shelter I do get nervous meeting new dogs. I seem to prefer submissive females.
• Secure Fencing (6ft Colorbond or equivalent)
• Lots of toys and mental stimulation
• A diet of good quality dry food to help keep my teeth clean
• A family who promise to keep me well groomed and brush me regularly so I'm always looking and feeling my best
• Lots of love and attention
• I have previously lived with young children and loved them
• I have lots of energy so an active family is a must
• I have never lived with a cat before and here at the shelter I showed signs of being scared of them. It may be best that I don't go to a home that has a cat.
Things that I don't want in my new home:
• To be left alone in the backyard without any interaction
• Not to be allowed inside with my family
• Never to go on a walk or rides in the car
• Chickens, as I have been known to chase them.
My best features:
• Very playful
• Wiggle butt
• I can sit on command
• I have previously helped to round up sheep
• I love attention and having snuggles with my humans
• I walk well on lead
• Social butterfly
• Exuberant & full of beans once I get used to my new situation
Where I need to improve / Training required
• I can be a bit bouncy -training should stop this
• I appear to be quiet vocal at times when left alone - a family who has a lot of time for me, allow me indoors and leave me with lots of mental enrichment when home alone is recommended
• As I have not been allowed inside before I am not housetrained yet
• I can be timid in new situations such as entering a building/home. I MUST have a family who'll allow me inside so I can see it isn't a scary place and to allow my confidence to grow.
