Hi, I’m Haku!
I’m an easy-going, playful and friendly boy who would be suitable to be adopted to a first-time dog owner who has done lots of research and is willing to put in the time and effort it takes to own, care for and love a dog.
When I first came in I was a little timid, but I have grown in confidence since then and now I love all people! I would also be open to meet children of any age, though I still do jump up sometimes I am easily coaxed down with some treats and a cuddle.
I have met other dogs in the facility and I really like playing, so bring your dog in to meet me so we can be best friends! I’m fairly active but also love hanging out and relaxing. I would love to be inside with my family when they’re home and snuggle up watching tv together.
I hope to have a yard where I can run around and play with all my toys. Fencing surrounded my yard should be high and secure as I have long legs and would be able to jump over anything else.
I have been told I have a low grade heart murmur, which is not very common in a young, large breed dog. My new family will have to have yearly check-ups on my heart, and in the future be prepared to take me to a Cardiologist if recommend by a Vet. I hope this doesn’t put you off and you will give me a chance regardless!
