Hi there, my name is Anita the Akita.. let me introduce myself.

I came into the shelter and found it a very scary place, I am quite timid here and really would love to live in an adults-only household with new pawrents that will take handling very slowly until I feel fully confident with my environment.

Slow and steady really wins the race for me, I do love my treats so this makes force-free training a lil bit easier for my new family. I also have shown that I enjoy the company of doggo friends that match my energy so if you have a fur baby at home, bring them into the meet and greet so we can figure out if we are besties.

I'm a gentle girl and need a warm, loving home with others that will help me become my goofy self again. Having not had the best start to life I am positive that I will find my people and have an excellent life full of playtime, snuggles and lots of yummy treats.
