Isla - 3 Year Old Kelpie (Trial)

My name is Isla and I am ready to meet my Furever family. I’m a timid and shy 3 year old kelpie. But don’t think that means I’m not well behaved because I am.

I’m housetrained and walk like a superstar on the lead and I have fantastic recall when off. I don’t particularly like toys but you can train me to do pretty much anything with treats. I’m smart and willing. I can sit on command and I’m learning to shake.

I’m cautious when meeting new people and dogs but show shy, submissive behaviour and no aggression at all.

I’m a worry wart when it comes to thunderstorms and car rides. I just pant a heap and want your reassurance.

In fact, pats are my thing. Once you pat me we can be friends for life. I love everyone that pats and speaks nicely to me. Young and old, male and female…. I’m not sure if the rough and tumble of young kids would be my thing, but teenagers would be fine.

I haven’t met a cat while in care so I would need to be tested with them, but I’m not particularly chasey ….so it might work.

I’m ok to be left home alone while you go to work a few days a week, but I must be let inside to sleep at night.
