Asic

Kelpie pups simply don’t come much cuter - or cheekier! - than the tiny whirlwind of energy that is Asic. She has stunning black and cream markings, delicate features and teeny tiny little feet… and then of course, there are THOSE EARS !!!

Though she is small, she is definitely mighty, and this sassy little girl is going to make a delightful companion for someone with the energy and commitment required to bring out the best of her breed.

Favourite Things

Asic is very energetic and inquisitive. She loves playing with her toys, the more stimulating and interactive the better!

If Asic is not given enough stimulation, she will find her own fun.

Asic loves a cuddle with her foster family. She loves people and likes to be involved in what everyone is doing.

Interactions with Humans

Asic has been in care with four children aged 11 years and older and has loved being in their company. She has also enjoyed visits from other people and dogs. She is a typical high energy puppy and still does an excited little wiggly puppy dance before approaching for pats, and often jumps up in excitement. She tries very hard to contain all of her energy in her tiny puppy body - but sometimes it spills out into her sharp little puppy teeth, causing her to latch onto her foster mum’s pants or skin. She is getting better and better at controlling her excitement but younger children need supervision

Obedience / Training

Asic is everything a puppy should be and just loves her toys - but if there are no toys to play with, she will happily find and chew on anything nearby that happens to take her fancy.

Animal Social Skills

Asic has been in foster care with three dog-savvy cats and has barely turned her attention to them. She could live quite happily with a confident cat or two in her new home.

ASIC loves her food and is fed a premium puppy dry food

Independence

Asic is happy being outside during the day playing with the other dogs, even when her foster family are home and inside.

Of a night she enjoys being inside with her foster family.

Bathing and Hygiene -

Asic has been well behaved when having a bath. She has also been brushed regularly.

Sleeping -

Asic is currently sleeping in a dog crate inside with her brother. She is taken to the toilet around 11pm and then sleeps through until 6 am

Exercise

Asic is a working dog and is therefore considered a “high energy” dog. This means that as an adult dog, she will require a daily walk in rain, hail or shine, and cannot be left to languish in the backyard, even if her new home is on a large block. She will also require adequate mental stimulation to bring out the very best of her working dog traits.

Ideal Home

Asic would thrive in a home with a family who are able to keep her active.

She needs a home with a good-sized yard to run around and explore. Shelter in the backyard is a must.

Asic loves children, however due to her jumping and mouthing when excited she may be better suited to a family with older children or a family who are happy to providing her with further obedience training.
