About Murray - 1 Year Old French Mastiff
Meet our handsome French Mastiff, Murray.
A big affectionate sook, he loves nothing more than to cuddle up on his bed with his ball between his front paws.
He is a dog who enjoys his comforts. We have never seen a happier dog than when we gave him his own bed, toys and blankets.
He enjoys chasing a ball in the yard and proudly trotting with it on show.
He loves the ladies and can take a while to warm up to males. He has shown his gentle, loving nature, never demonstrating any aggression.
For a bit of background, he was found dumped/as a stray in Murray’s beach. He was saved by a local rescue group and brought into our care. See the video link below to learn more of Murrays rescue.

He was very scared and anxious, taking a good while to open up to us. Once he did, he has been trusting, affectionate, and playful. He is still showing signs of being timid within with new people and loud noises however we are sure he will flourish in a home environment.
He is learning basic commands of sit and wait. Ongoing dedication to basic commands will allow Murray to reach his full potential. He is very strong and has not mastered walking on the lead, he would need owners who are phsyically able and confident to continue leash training.
Murray is for adoption as a only dog. He is not food or toy reactive. He not a fan of cats or small animals. We have not assessed Murray with children.
If interested, please research his breed and the committment to training required to managing a large breed dog especially given Murray’s background.
Murray’s ideal home would include:
- Only dog
- A secure yard
- Time and dedication to provide a safe space and training
- A soccer ball to chew
Murray is a blank canvas, but he is a dog that will 100% be worth it.
Murray is in foster care in the Fullerton Cove, NSW area. They are currently available for interstate adoption. The adoption fee is $600.00 and they are desexed, vaccinated, treated for fleas and worms and microchipped.

Adoption details
(1) The first step is to fill in our online Adoption Questionnaire:

(2) If the questionnaire is approved we will arrange a property check so we
can verify that your home and yard are suitable for the pet you've applied for.
(3) After that we will arrange for you to meet the pet, usually at the foster
carer's home, nearby park or your home.
(4) If both sides agree, then you can pay for and adopt your new family
member! The two week trial begins on the day of adoption.
