About Salty
Meet Salty!
Salty is an adorable Kelpie pup who is bursting with energy and enthusiasm. She loves nothing more than playing with her foster sister, chasing the ball, exploring outdoors, and getting lots of cuddles from her humans. Salty is very much still a puppy, so she needs an experienced family who will be willing to spend time training and going to puppy school with her.
Salty is a bit mouthy and can jump up at times, so she would do best in a home with older children or dog savvy little ones. She knows 'sit' well and really appreciates when people give her attention for it. Salty has been learning to go to her mat with chew toys, and she loves fresh bones too! She has embraced being allowed inside the house and sleeps in her bed at night or on the couch for cuddles.
Salty is close to being toilet trained and lets herself out the dog door when needed. She does bark at dogs when out on walks but she responds well to treats and training for distraction. Salty loves going on adventures in the car too! With some stability, reassurance, patience, consistency, and plenty of excercise each day Salty can be an amazing companion for the right family!
Adoption details
Our adoption process consists of:
- An adoption application questionnaire that will be emailed upon an enquiry if we deem your enquiry is suitable for that particular animal. Please read the description of our animals before making an enquiry.
- A meet and greet to ensure yourself and any existing animals are suitable for your chosen furry friend
- A house check to ensure your property is suitable. This my include physically coming to your house, a video call or photos.
- An adoption agreement to sign upon being approved for adoption. This includes a two week trial period to allow your new pet to settle into their new home.
- Please note we are purely volunteer run so sometimes it may take up to 7 business days for the team to get back to your enquiry and we will only contact you if we believe your enquiry is suitable.
