Opal

Opal is a sweet couch potato looking for a nice place to call home - a mature low traffic home. As she has spent most of her time in racing kennels, she may take some time to adjust to home life so she requires an understanding owner who will let Opal adjust at her own pace and who is prepared to build a bond using hand feeding, and low stress handling for vet visits. Opal can be worried by fast movements, loud noises and close handling. She is beginning to gain some confidence in care and will lean in and look to her owner for reassurance. In a playful mood she will do big zoomies around the yard. Be prepared for some greyhound speed for a few minutes a day!!, before she retires to her cosy bed or crate with a delicious healthy treat. Opal is not suited to sharing her home with small animals or cats. She would like to meet the family before going home, including your calm respectful male dog if you have one.
