About Michaelangelo aka Mike
This is Michaelangelo or Mike to his mates is now looking for that special person to call his human.
He has come such a long way since coming into care as this scared little dog who wouldn’t even come to humans for treats.
Mike had discovered tennis balls and loves them! He will pounce on them, pick them up and throw them at his foster human. He’s also found that tug-o-war is fun too and willing to battle it out with you.
He has gained confidence when with another dog, he loves running around with them and play fighting. He has even learned that belly rubs aren’t too bad either.
Mike is learning the basics currently and being the smart fella we know he is we are sure with the right human he will thrive. Having another dog around will benefit Mike greatly, having a confident dog to show him the ropes and he his mate.
He is still getting used to loud noises and can be a little jumpy at times still. He’s not mer many strangers but with a confident handler we know he will take everything in his stride knowing you have his back .
His foster mum says he’s a big softy at heart once he settles in and just needs someone to give him the time and patience’s he not only needs but deserves.

* Please note, this is not a contract or agreement of any kind, only expression of interest in our dog. We will not conduct any meet and greets unless this form has been filled out and submitted for review. Only approved applicants will get to meet our dogs. *
Once approved you will be contacted by a team member and can organise a time best suited to meet with the carer and dog. If you have other dogs they must also be at the meeting, including any children in the immediate family.
Before applying please consider the following:
• real estate approval if renting
• any fencing repairs that may need to be done
• outside shelter
• breed knowledge
• do you have enough time for the breed of dog you are applying for?
If you and the dog get along, you have to option of taking the dog on the spot (at this time you will need to pay the full adoption price and sign the adoption agreement) You will then get a 2-week trial with the dog, during this time should things not work out you are to return the dog to Dusty Paws Dog Rescue. You will then receive a full refund; less $50 admin fee within 7 business days of the return of the dog.

Please also keep in mind that we are a volunteer run rescue which means we don’t have someone manning the phone 24/7, we all work full time jobs and get back to your calls and messages as soon as we can. We thank you for your time and patients with us.
