About Dixie
Dixie is on the hunt for her new home, this sweet girl loves to talk and has so much love to give her new humans.
While in care she has shown that she is great around dogs, kids and is very respectful of cats. Of course with any new animal we recommend supervision.
Now being a puppy still she can be full on with other dogs when she plays but a quick call and she comes running to you.
Dixie has pretty good manners, she will sit, comes with called, is crate trained (and loves it) and is working on stay. Further training is suggested to help strengthen what she already knows.
She travels well in the car, loves exploring new places and meeting new people. Currently working on sitting around new people as she gets super excited.
Dixie has been able to run free on the farm and play ball with the other dogs, we are still working on bringing it back but slowly she is getting the hang of it.
This sweet girl is ready to find her fur ever family where she will get all the love and attention she needs and deserves. If you think you have what Dixie is looking for then fill in an application and the successful applicant will get the chance to meet her.

* Please note, this is not a contract or agreement of any kind, only expression of interest in our dog. We will not conduct any meet and greets unless this form has been filled out and submitted for review. Only approved applicants will get to meet our dogs. *
Once approved you will be contacted by a team member and can organise a time best suited to meet with the carer and dog. If you have other dogs they must also be at the meeting, including any children in the immediate family.
Before applying please consider the following:
• real estate approval if renting
• any fencing repairs that may need to be done
• outside shelter
• breed knowledge
• do you have enough time for the breed of dog you are applying for?
If you and the dog get along, you have to option of taking the dog on the spot (at this time you will need to pay the full adoption price and sign the adoption agreement) You will then get a 2-week trial with the dog, during this time should things not work out you are to return the dog to Dusty Paws Dog Rescue. You will then receive a full refund; less $50 admin fee within 7 business days of the return of the dog.

Please also keep in mind that we are a volunteer run rescue which means we don’t have someone manning the phone 24/7, we all work full time jobs and get back to your calls and messages as soon as we can. We thank you for your time and patients with us.
