About Bear
Bear is an intelligent and active dog with the world at his paws! He is great on a leash and enjoys walking, running, and hiking with his humans. When out and about, Bear is calm around other people, dogs, bikes, motorbikes, and horses. He even loves to swim, so any outings to beaches or rivers will make Bear one happy pup! Adorably, Bear prefers to carry a stick with him on any adventures.
Bear is a high-energy dog who craves mental stimulation just as much as physical activity. He will do well with someone who will challenge his mind with further training, puzzles and sensory work. An owner who has had experience with working line dogs and with high activity levels will be the perfect match for him.
At home, Bear loves simple pleasures like playing fetch with a tennis ball or chewing on a stick, and this clever boy isn't one to chew things that aren't meant for him. He isn't bothered by loud noises like fireworks and thunderstorms. Bear is happy to spend plenty of time in the backyard sniffing around, playing with his toys and laying in the winter sunshine, so he would appreciate a lot of space outdoors. He also loves to come indoors to relax by your side in the evening after a fulfilling day!
Humans are this boy's absolute favourite creatures. His happy and friendly personality does lead him to get excited when greeting people, and he will try to steal a few kisses. When Bear is excited, he can be boisterous and boofy, which is quite cute, but he can tend to forget his size and might accidentally bowl over young children or anyone who is frail.
Bear is not particularly interested in playing with other canines but does get along well with cats. He lives with two cats currently - one he is a bit scared of and the other he plays with - so he would likely be happy to have a dog-confident cat as a housemate.
Can you picture Bear as your wonderful companion for all of life's action and adventure?

Adoption details
When enquiring about a pet listed with Home2Home, your enquiry goes directly to the pet’s owner - the person who knows them best!
It’s a great opportunity to ask any questions you may have about the pet, including its likes and dislikes, needs, and how it may fit into your lifestyle and family.
From here, the owner will be in touch with you to chat a bit more about their pet, and if they feel your home is the best fit, they will arrange a ‘meet and greet’ for you all to get to know each other.
Should this prove successful, arrangements will be made for the pet to move straight from its current home into yours upon payment of the adoption fee.
The adoption fee is paid directly to PetRescue (via a secure payment link), and assists us to continue to run and develop programs to assist pet owners, just like Home2Home.
Change of Ownership paperwork will be completed, vetwork history will be provided and your new family member will be snuggled on your couch in no time!
