About Dirk
Meet Dirk! Dirk is a charismatic and quirky Bengal mix who does everything with maximum enthusiasm! His new owners will need to be familiar with the Bengal breed's activity levels and temperament because Dirk is a very typical example of his breed. He loves playing. He'll play with or without you but needs lots of activities and fun things to keep him entertained during the day. An added bonus for Dirk would be an enclosed catio to get even closer to the action. Dirk would be a risk to wildlife, so has to be kept as an indoor only cat. He spent some time in foster and enjoyed playing with any and every toy on offer. Dirk spent the first few days in foster quite wary and scared but came out of his shell quickly, and acclimated in no time! When Dirk first arrived in foster he was not a fan of being patted or picked up, however over the course of a couple of weeks will accept pats when he's in a happy and relaxed mood and occasionally likes being held and cuddled for a short time. Dirk likes being in the company of people but is not an affectionate, cuddly cat. He is looking for an active family who are familiar with his breed. Due to his style of play, he is not suited to a home with children! Other pets who are equally active and playful, may be a good match for him with slow introductions.
