About Fenton
FENTONNNNNN!!!!!
Fenton is a total extrovert, he is not shy making friends and is pretty much up for anything. His enthusiasm for life is something to admire, he is keen to get involved in whatever you are doing. He is not just a dog, he is a sidekick and is looking for a family that wants a dog they can really invest in and take everywhere. He has been dubbed the pocket pointer in foster care as he has the look and a lot of traits of a pointer but is half the size.
Fenton would thrive in a home with people who are keen to get involved in dog sports, think agility or flyball. He is super clever, full of beans and has a brain made of sponge ready to soak up all the info you give him. Being a clever, energetic guy, also means he can get up to mischief, he is cheeky and he tests all and every boundary just to see how it flies... but all his mischief making is worth it because he is truly such a sweet boy who loves to love and be loved in return.
He does not enjoy being left alone, this is very much a work in progress. He is however crate trained and sleeps soundly overnight in his crate. Fenton does nothing gracefully, he is an absolute dork and his new family will need to be robust as he has a tendency to parkour his way through life.
MY IDEAL HOME: My ideal home is with a family that has some experience with high energy dogs. I will need access inside as I please and would prefer I'm not left on my own for long periods of time. My new home will need to be one full of love because I am addicted, I have big feelings and really connect whole heartedly to my people.
MY ENERGY LEVEL: HIGH! I'm nicknamed the 24 hour party boy... it may be a slight exaggeration but I do love a party. I will require a committed family who will exercise me daily... we are not talking just a trot around the block, more like proper adventures that will exercise my legs and brain.
MY SUITABILITY TO CHILDREN: Whilst all LOVE, I can be a little much at times. Have you heard of Sharknado? Well that's my style so small children are probably not suitable, however dog savvy kids 12 and up are okay.
MY SUITABILITY TO CATS AND DOGS: I currently live with multiple dogs and get along with them all, I would love to have another dog friend in my new home but am likely best matched with a medium to large sized friend as I can be a bit of a bulldozer with my small counterparts. I also live with a cat and think she's great but my never ending enthusiasm means I can be a little OTT for felines.

Our foster carer will contact you when we receive your application to arrange a time for you to meet with their foster pet.
We want your adoption through Maggie's to be a good experience so we will occasionally suggest a different cat or dog that may suit your situation better and the needs of the individual pet.
All our pets leave for their new homes on a two-week trial. At the end of the trial, we will transfer the microchip into your name and provide you with the pets vet certificates. Once you receive the Certificate of Identification from council, your adoption will be complete.
Please consider, that a Maggie's Pet is a pet for Life, before adopting.
