About Hunter
Hunter is a stunningly black and tan seven year old male German Shepherd who is urgently looking for a new home as his owner has had to move and can't take him with them.
Hunter is great with kids and adults but not suitable to go to a home with a cat.
He will require a home who have had previous large breed or Shepherd experience, who have the time to put into this active and loving German Shepherd.
He will also require a secure yard with areas of shade and shelter and with the opportunity for him to have inclusion in the home.
Hunter will need time to gain trust and respect-connect with his new family, we can see he is a gentle boy and good natured.
Hunter loves young children, although due to his size we recommend older dog savvy children. He is also very social with other dogs and loves going to the dog park.
Intelligence, loyalty, love and companionship is what Hunter will give in abundance when he connects and builds trust with his new owner.
If you understand the nature of the German Shepherd, have recently owned this breed, and are looking for a companion dog then please consider Hunter.
If you think you can give him a new home please contact us by selecting "Enquire about Hunter".
If you live in Queensland or Victoria, you can be considered, however you will need to be able to drive with your family to meet Hunter. If for any reason he doesn't fit your family you will be responsible for bringing him back to Sydney or helping us to rehome from your home.
Medical notes
Hunter is microchipped, vaccinated, desexed and on heart worm protection.

Adoption details
We have an Adoptions Manager who screens all prospective candidates as to their suitability to adopt a German Shepherd Dog.
We try to contact every one by phone but if that isn't successful we will email our application form to you, which needs to be completed and returned, or you can call us back and we can chat and complete for you. We will also ask you to provide photos of your yard and fencing to enable us to see where the dog will be kept and that they have areas of shade and shelter.
All our dogs are ready to go to their new home, so when you enquire about a dog you must be in a position to take them into your home. We are unable to hold a dog while you fix your fences or go on holiday, etc.
The successful candidate who adopts one of our dogs is provided with an information kit, ongoing support, training and advice on all aspects of feeding, training and general assistance to ensure both the new owner and our rescued dog settle into their home.
This pet has been adopted and found love with its new family.
