About Max
Max is back up for adoption - poor little man can't catch a break - he was returned within 24 hours due to his energy level - Max is a young dog who has energy and in need of a home that will cater to this (walks, mental simulation, being part of the family fun in the backyard etc etc)
Hi, my name is Max and I am just a bundle of fun!
I am a 1 year and 2 weeks old Shih Tzu X Chihuahua.
I am just a little guy weighing in at 4.2kg (but then what would you expect having so much cuteness in one little bundle!)
I came to be in foster care through no fault of my own and have settled in very well at my foster mum’s place. I have two playmates there and we have lots of fun playing chase and fetching the ball. I am very good at playing ball and my foster mum says I’m a Pocket Rocket!
I would love a home with another dog to play with and socialize with or a home with kids who will play with me and hang out.
I am an independent kind of guy, but I love to know where my humans are all times so yep you guessed it a home where there is someone home more often than not.
I love having cuddles or just sitting at my family’s feet in front of the TV. My favorite thing is to just hang out in the back yard with my foster family and my foster fur brothers.
When I first arrived at my foster mum’s place, I was a little overwhelmed because everything was so different. I was very nervous around new dogs and people but like most dogs once I settled and gained my confidence I was all good and now I just love meeting new people
I still am a little wary of other dogs (especially if they are bigger than me – most are!) but after a little while I’m pretty cool with new dogs – it only took me a day to love my foster brothers, and now we just play and play and play.
I am toilet trained
I am untested with cats
I have been around kids and love when they want to play with me
If you are looking for a furry companion who is faithful and loyal (and handsome!) but also loves to go for walks and play ball, then I am the one for you!

Adoption details
Paw Prints Canine Rescue is a non for profit dog rescue located in Southeast Queensland.
All our dogs leave our care with full vet work (up-to-date vaccinated, microchipped, desexed, heart worm and intestinal wormed and flea treated).
Please note - They will not leave for their new homes until they are 12 weeks of age and have been desexed, micro-chipped and vaccinated up to date.
Please note - we are not a pound or have kennels - all our dogs stay in foster carers homes and therefore dogs are not able to be simply viewed - only approved applicants will meet the dogs.
Please Note: We do not hold any animals so please only apply if you are ready to adopt now
Please note - We don't take calls on adoption enquiries - an application must be completed
We can also be found at https://www.facebook.com/pawprintscanine/
Complete the following adoption enquiry link

Once an adoption enquiry is completed our admin team will assess the application and if successful we will arrange for a meet and greet to be completed. We may also request photos of your yard for consideration of your application. Please note that we will do no more than 3 meet and greets per dog.
Approved applicants will be contacted to arrange a time for a meet & greet via email. You must bring your current dog along to the meeting if you are meeting another dog/puppy, this is to ensure they get along before commencing adoption - proof of your dogs up-to-date vaccination is required before any meet and greet is arranged.
Our adoption fee must be cleared in our bank account before any animal is available for pick up. Please note we bank with ANZ - any other bank may take 48 hours to process the monies.
Paw Prints Canine Rescue has a 10 day trial period – this basically means that if for any reason the adoption does not work out and the dog needs to be returned to us, the adoption fee minus an admin fee (minimum is $100) will be returned to the adoptees via bank transfer within 7 working days.
Please note that if an interstate adoption needs to be returned or regional adoption all transport cost with be paid by the adopter.
Please also note while this can be a very exciting time for everyone, it can also be an overwhelming time for dogs and we ask that you do try and allow your new family member to settle in their new home and adjust
INTERSTATE ADOPTIONS **
Any transport costs are to be paid by the adopting family, however we can assist you in helping with transport to airports etc.
** Please note some of our dogs are not available for interstate adoption
AFTER THE TRIAL PERIOD
After the 10 day trial period is completed Paw Prints Canine will send out all relevant paperwork for your new furbaby via email including the transfer of microchip form.
