About Possum
Possum is sweet, bright, intelligent, active, happy puppy who is very food motivated and loves training, she is good with dogs of all sizes and has been around some children, so a home with children over the age of about 10 years of age would be suitable provided the children were kind and respectful of animals and the family would make Possum a big part of their lives.
Possum's mum was a Boxer x Staffordshire Terrier and dad was a Malinois x Staffordshire Terrier
Being a large breed Possum will need regular exercise, mental stimulation and good socialisation with other dogs. Her new family will need to get her about and about daily on long walks/hikes and other adventures such as cafes, beaches and parks, slowly at first of course so as not to overwhelm her.
Possum’s family must be an active one and committed to ongoing force-free/reward-based training and socialisation, like all puppies she still has lots of things to learn and signing up to puppy school and/or group classes where she can engage in positive training is a must for pups at Possum's age. Possum will be a large dog so it is important to prepare her to be a good canine citizen.
Possum does have a good nose on her, so would be great for nose-works or even agility once she is old enough.
Possum's new family will have a bit of experience with med / large sized dogs, bonus points if they have bully breed experience.
Possum must go to a home with at least one other well-adjusted medium/large sized dog who she can romp and play with, will be a role model for Possum and will allow her to snuggle up with of a night.
Possum must have access inside at all times and sleep inside at night as this is what she is used to in her foster home.
