About Willow - 6 Year Old Labrador X Rottweiler
All rise for the beautiful Willow!
A stunning all black 6 1/2 year old Female Labrador X, she is looking for a home.
Willow loves to go for walks, the words "Let's go!" get her all excited and she starts jumping around with infectious enthusiasm. In foster care, she walks around 3-4km a day 7 days a week.
She loves a car ride, visiting new places and going for walks in new areas.
When she's not out hitting the walking trails, she spends most of her time in the home near her carers, asleep on the couch. She prefers sleeping on the couch at night too!
Willow loves to be with you and loves belly rubs, if she could have a lifelong prescription of belly rubs she would take it! She likes to stay in the company of her people and would be best in a home of WFH or part-time workers.
She likes to take her time when meeting new people a and can be timid at first. If she is given time to sniff and warm to them, she becomes their best friend quickly.
Willow is a great guard dog, she will sound her bark alert if somebody comes to the door or enters the yard at night time.
Willow came into care weighing a hefty 43kg and has worked very hard to lose the extra kgs. The extra weight was tough on her joints and she became arthritic. Since being on her health journey, she is now a healthy weight and moving more freely. She has Joint Gaurd powder sprinkled on her meals to help her joints and she loves to eat a bowl of vegetables with her dinner.
Willow is looking for an only dog household. She finds other dogs overwhelming and she can be a handful on the lead sometimes if she sees another dog.
She has lived in a home with cats and chickens and tends to ignore them.
