About Rocky
Rocky is a beautiful six month old German Shepherd, who is living with Harley an eighteen month old German Shepherd. They are both looking for a new home, ideally together but they may be able to be separated.
Harley's profile can be seen here:
https://www.petrescue.com.au/listings/972659
Rocky is a small, chilled and friendly dog, who weighs approximately 26 kg.
Rocky needs a home who have experience with the breed, as he is a young dog and has had basic training. He is house trained.
He will need time to gain his new families trust but we can see he is such a gentle boy and good natured. Due to his age we would recommend older children that have lived with a large dog.
We want him to go to a home where he will be an integral family member.
Intelligence, loyalty, love and companionship is what Rocky will give in abundance when he connects and builds that trust with his new owner.
If you understand the nature of a German Shepherd, have recently owned this breed, and are looking for a companion dog then please consider Rocky.
If you think you can give me a new home please contact us by selecting "Enquire about Rocky".
If you live in Queensland or Victoria, you can be considered, however you will need to be able to drive with your family to meet Rocky. If for any reason he doesn't fit your family you will be responsible for bringing him back to Sydney or helping us to rehome from your home.
Medical notes
Rocky is microchipped and will be vaccinated before going to his new home. He will be desexed when he is twelve months old as per our vets advice.
Adoption details
We have an Adoptions Manager who screens all prospective candidates as to their suitability to adopt a German Shepherd Dog.
We try to contact every one by phone but if that isn't successful we will email our application form to you, which needs to be completed and returned, or you can call us back and we can chat and complete for you. We will also ask you to provide photos of your yard and fencing to enable us to see where the dog will be kept and that they have areas of shade and shelter.
All our dogs are ready to go to their new home, so when you enquire about a dog you must be in a position to take them into your home. We are unable to hold a dog while you fix your fences or go on holiday, etc.
The successful candidate who adopts one of our dogs is provided with an information kit, ongoing support, training and advice on all aspects of feeding, training and general assistance to ensure both the new owner and our rescued dog settle into their home.
This pet has been adopted and found love with its new family.
