Squizzy

Greetings, my name is Squizzy. And I’d love it if you could take a quick squiz at my profile!
According to the Greysland volunteers and my foster carer, I am an 11 out of 10 good boy. I’m sweet, gentle and super easy going. I’m friendly with other dogs of all sizes, and I love humans too.
I’d be so happy in a quiet home, without any children. The reason for this is that I have previously shown signs of sleep startle, which occurs if I’m woken suddenly or unexpectedly, and this isn’t ideal with kids around.
To manage this, It is best for me to have a safe space to sleep. My foster carer says that my sleep startle is very well managed and I have not had any concerns with this.

I have been thriving in foster care. I walk very well on lead and have no concerns walking past other dogs... even the yappy ones!

I may need some help getting in the car, I'm still learning about this.

There’s also a chance I may have some vision impairment due to pannus– which makes it tricky for me to have a good squiz at things! And so, I’d really appreciate it if you could be gentle and understanding when handling me.

All hounds are desexed, vaccinated, microchipped, flea and worm treated, and heartworm tested/treated. The adoption fee also includes our New Adopter Kit - collar, leash, muzzle and loads of other goodies to help you get your new hound settled into the family.
