Meet little Bethany. She may be small, but she will take up your whole heart.
Our little girl is just adorable! She is playful and loves running around in the backyard with her canine foster siblings, as well as following her foster mum around.
She loves other dogs and and cats too, and is even fond of cleaning their ears for them. We feel she would do best in a home with other dog friendly animals, as she has always been in a home with them.
She always wants to sit on you or next to you and will snuggle up on the couch with you and the other animals. She also loves to sleep in bed with you under the covers.
Bethany is always happy, loves meeting new visitors and is a good little watch dog, often alerting you to someone visiting. She loves to go for walks and enjoys time out and about with you.
She is not fussy with food, so will adjust to any new healthy diet in her new home.
Bethany would benefit from some more basic training. She is getting better at "stay" and learning other commands. She is not fond of being on a lead yet but with time, guidance and patience, she will get used to it. When she came into care she was not toilet trained but has come along well with this. She needs her new family to stick with routine (after every meal/nap/play, before bed etc) for her to get better with this.
Bethany would be best suited to a loving home where she is a part of the family and allowed inside, on beds etc. She is not suited to being left alone in a yard all day. She needs to be a family member and included in day to day family activities.
When meeting one of our animals in care, please remember that some animals can take time to adjust to new people and environments no matter how friendly and loving they really are. We ask you to keep this in mind when meeting any of our animals at meet βnβ greets (and when you take them home) and not rule them out straight away just because they are not all over you at the first meeting. You could miss out on the most wonderful companion. π

Adoption details
We ask that before you apply for one of our animals, you take the time to think through all aspects of having a pet in your home to ensure it is the right thing for both your family and the animal, now and in the future. Please consider how you would approach changes in your home that may affect your pet and how dedicated you would be to keeping/helping your animal when faced with any issues that may arise in the future.
If you have done this and are 100% sure that adopting is the right thing for you and your family, please fill in our adoption enquiry form - www.cognitoforms.com/LostAndFoundPetsIllawarra1/LostAndFoundPetsIllawarraIncAnimalEnquiry
Please use this link rather than the 'Enquire' button on the pet's profile.
We will then organise a time for you to meet with the foster carer and the pet you are interested in to see if it is the right match.
Before adoption, all of our animals are health checked, vaccinated, microchipped, desexed, flea/worm treated and heart worm tested (where appropriate).
