Ziggy

Hi, I’m Ziggy and I am proud to be a KPR kid!
I only discovered KPR recently, but I wish that I had found them a long time ago.
I am an awesome Mini Poodle guy, and you would never guess that I am 11 ½ years old!
To be honest, I was pretty embarrassed about the way I looked and smelled when I arrived but the KPR people still gave me lots of love and cuddles. My hair was long and matted and my tail was encased so tightly in my fur that it had turned to felt.
My eyes were matted shut and glued tightly together and my ears were so full of hair that it had matted closed and caused infection, but I quickly won everyone over with my friendly and loving nature as they got to work cleaning me up and helping me to be comfortable for the first time in a very long time.
Ok, I admit, the KPR people are not professional groomers, but I feel so good now that I am definitely not complaining. They tell me they will give me a tidy up one day soon but just being able to move and see and hear and not having my hair pulling every time I walk is a bonus for me. The dark stains around my eyes are reminders of the shocking state I was in but they will grow out as my hair grows.
I have been and had all my normal vet work done and yesterday I had surgery. I don’t know why but when I woke up afterwards, my teeth were clean and shiny, and all the plaque and infection was gone. The hoomans tell me that my breath is sooooooo much nicer now.
I have been showing everyone how happy I am by dancing on my back legs, especially when I see a human with food. I have learned that even human food turns into a doggie treat if you are cute enough!!
I really love soft and cozy beds and I will snuggle up in a blanket if I there is one available. I have no trouble jumping onto a couch or chair and I am wonderful with people of all ages and other animals.
I am great company. I love to be with my humans and go wherever they go. I am awesome in the car so I would be a great dog for a grey (or not so grey) nomad.
I would not like to be left at home while my humans are away all day. I would get sad and lonely, and I would miss them too much.
I am a super friendly boy, and I am very social so I would be an ideal companion for someone that wants a pooch to take everywhere with them. My waggy tail and happy smile will help me make lots of friends.
