Rex

Rex is a Border Collie X Maremma and he is a big boy. He is full of cheek and makes everyone laugh at his antics. If you are looking for a dog that just makes you smile at all the silly things he does, then Rex may be the dog for you. We can't promise that life will be quiet or calm, but it will be full of love and laughter, that's for sure.

Rex loves everyone and everything but doesn't realise how big he is. Anything that gets in his way can be bowled over as he runs past - other dogs, small children, the occasional garbage bin, laundry basket, cats, trampolines, pot plants, bikes, outdoor furniture - really anything that happens to get in his way.

We have spent a lot of time assessing Rex and trying to determine what would be the best type of environment for him. He loves to play and play hard, so we are looking for a family who may already have another large dog that can meet his energy levels. He will run all day and sleep all night. He is crate trained and is currently undergoing training on his lead.

Rex will make you laugh, frustrate you at his on again / off again recall but will also be a completely loyal and faithful companion.

A nice sized yard would be enough for this boy along with a doggy friend and a daily walk.

Rex will need some ongoing training. He needs authority, to learn boundaries and be taught good manners. Whilst he can be a bit stubborn like a Maremma it mixes beautifully with the intelligence of the Border Collie.
