About Benny
Benny is now ready to head to a new home, after being desexed recently. He is a great little dog that needs the right home.
Benny is a broken haired Jack Russell Terrier that is almost 2 years of age. Benny is a very active and at times vocal boy. He has energy to burn.
Benny was initially reactive when he saw other dog, but this has improved significantly.
When super excited, like most Jack Russells, he has an impressive scream and lung span to express himself. He will need a home that is willing to work with Benny to bring his excitement level down.
If your looking for a super quiet, sedate lap dog Benny is not the dog for you.
Benny has lived with another dog, but we feel he may be best as an only dog so he can get the 1:1 attention and extra training.
Benny lived with a cat when he was a pup, but we recently found he was chasing the cats in his foster placement so a home without cats would be best.
Benny has lived an inside - outside lifestyle. In new environments he will need reminding to go outside to toilet. Having him desexed will help with this too. We will not rehouse Benny into a total outdoor home. That would be unfair to Benny.
Benny has not been around young children and he is very excitable so a home without young children is best.. Maybe a home with teenagers and above to help expel some of that Benny energy.
Benny will go to his new home flea and worm treated, fully vaccinated, desexed and microchipped. His adoption fee will be $700.00.

Adoption details
We like to take the personal approach where a person sends an email of interest around an animal and then we will follow up with phone discussions and email exploration through a survey.
Please note we are a small group of volunteers that balances the administrative side with the care of the animals.
Please only apply for one of our animals if you are genuinely interested in them.
We expect the prospective owner to travel to meet the animal and we are open to trial periods to ensure we have the match right.
