Valmai

Introducing VALMAI, one of seven absolutely adorable Smithfield Collie x Kelpie puppies from The Barry Humphries Litter. They were born on 13 March 2023.

Gentle and cuddly, Valmai has a soft, shaggy black and white coat, one white socklet on a back foot, a half-length tail and ears that are destined to remain floppy.

The Smithfield is a herding dog that was first introduced to Australia from England during colonial times. They are often born with bob tails. Typically patient and friendly, they are good with children. But like the Kelpie, they require daily exercise and mental stimulation, which is more easily achieved if they share their home with another dog of compatible size and energy level.

Smithfield/Kelpies can make great family pets, loyal companions and excellent watchdogs. They have an exceptionally high IQ and are eager to please and extremely loyal. Wherever their humans are, that's where they want to be too - whether that's out in a boat, in the back of a car, going for a walk, training for agility competitions or herding, or just watching television in the evening.

Preference will be given to homes where someone is around most of the time and/or there is another compatible dog for Valmai to play with. Previous working breed experience will be well regarded. As always, secure fencing is essential.

Valmai's adoption fee is $950. She has had one vaccination and is microchipped. She is also flea and worm treated. Subject to conditions, her adoption fee includes desexing when age appropriate i.e., before five months.
