Maestro

I am trying a new home to see if i like it. Maestro was surrendered to the pound by his very elderly owner. He was putrid, covered in fleas and we believe had never been groomed in his 16 months of life. Maestro's previous owner was vision impaired and apparently tried to cut the matts from his coat with a very sharp pair of scissors. You can see from the picture that maestro has stitches just above his shoulder due to the previous owner cutting him quite badly with the scissors. As maestro was surrendered we were able to get him out of the pound quickly and have all his vet work done. Maestro's coat was clipped off smoothly and his shoulder wound stitched while he was under anaesthetic for desexing. Maestro is a magnificent shih tzu with lots of personality and we will find him a wonderful home with a family who will manage his coat properly and treat him like the little prince he is. More information will be added to his profile when we know maestro a little better. Update 31 january: maestro's foster carer has now learnt more about him in the past week or so. He is learning to walk on a lead and goes out with the families female maltese and gets along nicely with her. Maestro is completely house trained, is very playful and loves his toys, especially his teddy that is looking a little worse for wear these days. Maestro is great with his foster carer's 6 year old grandchild who is very 'dog savvy'. He is friendly with other dogs and does need to go with another friendly, small, desexed dog for company. Maestro is a house dog with a coat that will require regular grooming and he must have access to the house via a doggy door or similar. Maestro comes desexed, microchipped, vaccinated, wormed, on heartworm prevention and with nsw local council lifetime registration for $350 and is not available for adoption outside nsw. If you would like more information on maestro or to arrange to meet him, please phone 0466 690916 (between 8am and 7pm only) or email using adoption enquiry as your subject heading. Before phoning or emailing, please check denise's rescued dogs in foster care on www. Paws. Com. Au for any updated photos and to make sure this dog is still available for adoption. Listed 26 january
