About Kobe
Hi I’m Kobe, and my foster mum says I’m a cutie!
I am , I am a gorgeous 3 year and 2 week old Cavalier x Pug x Dachshund
I know how special am I with these breeds that makes for one cute as pup who loves his humans – I love my humans so much if I could, I would turn myself into velco - I honestly would!
So of course I have some specific requests
1. I need to have an owner that is home more often than not – someone who works from home, is retired, doesn’t work, stay at home mum etc etc etc. As he settles and gets more comfy this will ease up for the first few weeks he does need reassurance that he’s safe and wanted.
2. No small kids that crawl – I mayyyyyy have a small habit of trying to hump them …. Oops but I am great with older kids (lets go over the age of 3)
3. I walk well on a lead and do not show any reaction to other dogs while walking, but I do love to have a chat with the next door neighbor if the other dog is in a chatty mood as well.
4. I love to play chase and tug of war and any other game that is interactive and my humans can join.
5. I am open for cuddles and companion any time of the day and my dream world would be being a lap dog.
6. I am very food oriented and would eat my bodyweight in food if I was allowed thankfully those walks come in handy and I will show excitement as soon as you touch the lead
7. I am very sweet and affectionate and listens well to commands in the home.
8. I do need some training on my recall as I can sometimes take myself for a short stroll if the opportunity presents itself – the wind in the hair type of thing.
9. I definitely needs to be an indoor dog with access to outside and apart of any home I am in.
10. I come from a home where there was a cat and my foster carer has a cat but I can't be guaranteed to like all cats so a home with none would probably be better.
11 I have been told I have lovely manners (stay, sit, shake and lie down and with those lovely manners would make a great addition to any family home.
12. I solemnly swear I will love you so much every day that you just won’t know what to do with all the love.
13. I do need to learn manners when it comes to opening the front door and not running out and thinking it's a great game to be chased back inside.
Hey did I mention I would love you if you become my family.
So if you’re looking for a companion who loves life and you, please send thru an adoption application

All our dogs leave our care with full vet work (up-to-date vaccinated, microchipped, desexed, heart worm and intestinal wormed and flea treated).
Please note - They will not leave for their new homes until they are 12 weeks of age and have been desexed, micro-chipped and vaccinated up to date.
Please note - we are not a pound or have kennels - all our dogs stay in foster carers homes and therefore dogs are not able to be simply viewed - only approved applicants will meet the dogs.

Please note - We don't take calls on adoption enquiries - an application must be completed

Once an adoption enquiry is completed our admin team will assess the application and if successful we will arrange for a meet and greet to be completed. We may also request photos of your yard for consideration of your application. Please note that we will do no more than 3 meet and greets per dog.
Approved applicants will be contacted to arrange a time for a meet & greet via email. You must bring your current dog along to the meeting if you are meeting another dog/puppy, this is to ensure they get along before commencing adoption - proof of your dogs up-to-date vaccination is required before any meet and greet is arranged.
Our adoption fee must be cleared in our bank account before any animal is available for pick up. Please note we bank with ANZ - any other bank may take 48 hours to process the monies.
Paw Prints Canine Rescue has a 10 day trial period – this basically means that if for any reason the adoption does not work out and the dog needs to be returned to us, the adoption fee minus an admin fee (minimum is $100) will be returned to the adoptees via bank transfer within 7 working days.
Please note that if an interstate adoption needs to be returned or regional adoption all transport cost with be paid by the adopter.
Please also note while this can be a very exciting time for everyone, it can also be an overwhelming time for dogs and we ask that you do try and allow your new family member to settle in their new home and adjust
INTERSTATE ADOPTIONS **
Any transport costs are to be paid by the adopting family, however we can assist you in helping with transport to airports etc.
** Please note some of our dogs are not available for interstate adoption
AFTER THE TRIAL PERIOD
After the 10 day trial period is completed Paw Prints Canine will send out all relevant paperwork for your new furbaby via email including the transfer of microchip form.
