Jemima is very sweet and shy , but after a while she warms up and finds her voice. She would need someone who is experienced with the breed.
Jemima is a 3 year-old female Dachshund who is looking for a loving home. She weighs 8 kg and has been desexed, microchipped, and vaccinated. She's also been wormed and is friendly with other dogs and older children. Jemima may be shy at first, but with patience and love she will warm up quickly. Her new home should have a secure fence to keep her safe while playing outside. Like all dachsies, she likes to voice her opinion. She can be feisty , typical for the breed, so older children are best .
You must be careful with CANE TOADS
Jemima doesn’t like to be left out of the fun, so you must have good fences that are secure along the bottom. This is worth checking before you apply, and worth mentioning in your application.
If you're looking for a sweet companion and have experience with the breed, Jemima could be the perfect fit! Located in Paddington, she can join your family for an adoption fee of $995.

Here are some quick tips to make your APPLICATION stand out:
Include as many details as you can about your lifestyle, family, accommodation, and work. Here’s some first-hand feedback from our member rescue organisations about what they'd like to see in your applications:
🐱 Why would this animal suit your home? (This lets them know that you've read the pet’s bio and considered their personality vs. your lifestyle)
🐾 Details about your family
🏡 Is your home quiet/relaxed or loud/busy? (Particularly important for timid cats). Ask questions, to show your are interested in the animals ell being.
Add questions into the application.
Fill out the profiles of your current pets if you have any. Understanding the personality of resident cats and dogs will help rescue organisations or foster carers determine if the pet will adjust to your surroundings.
Remember to be respectful and kind in your enquiries. A simple greeting can go a long way! Behind that screen is a real hooman, who loves and cares for the pet you're enquiring about just as much as you will!
Be open and honest - rescues prefer having as much information as they can about potential adopters.
