About Nash
Hi, I’m Nash and I am the most adorable, smart, playful dog around!
Quick Facts:
* Breed: Kelpie Cross
Good with…
* Dogs? Yes!
* Cats? Yes, not aggressive just a bit to rough and goofy.
* Kids? Yes, 4+yrs old
History
I’m originally from Cobar and unfortunately I was not given the best start to life and was treated unfairly. Thankfully I was rescued by Peggies Promise so I can be given the opportunity to live a happy life full of love and in return for my gratitude I’ll provide endless companionship, affection, tail wags and so much love ❤️
Personality
I’m extremely happy and affectionate 🤗 I get super excited when you come home! Well darn, I get excited if you just look at me.. I love attention and just being involved with whatever your doing, I love to lay my head on your lap, better yet I prefer to sit on your lap, I love to give kisses and cuddles and snuggle next to you on the couch to watch Netflix.
I’m really smart, I learn commands really quickly (as long as you have treats for rewards!), and thus far know “Sit,” “Wait”, and “High-five!
I’m also okay being independent hanging out on my own on a dog bed, chewing on a bone. I like to sleep inside or outside as long as I have shelter and a warm soft bed and coat on, I’m happy anywhere.
I have a high energy level and lots of enthusiasm as I’m still young and need to be active daily, I love to play fetch and super dooper love, love squeaky toys. I’ve been watching the cat and I’ve found I enjoy a bit of climbing my foster family laugh at me when they find me on top of their B.B.Q or on the trampoline.
When I get tired I like to sit and watch everything around me. And one of my favourite pastimes is taking anything I can find to my secret 🤫 hiding spot.
Cohabitation
I’m currently with my foster family who have a very energetic little girl (4yrs old) who I love to play with I’ve learnt not to jump and to be gentle and patient with her.
They also have a cat 🐱 (still don’t understand why though?) I like the kitty but she doesn’t seem to like me, I think she’s just jealous and she just won’t let it go that I chased her once but I know not to do that now.
I see all types of wildlife from possums, ducks to bush turkeys and birds but they don’t interest me. I really like other humans and especially dogs 🐕 dogs are just the best of friends and we have such a great time together.
Favourite Activities
I like to play fetch but my humans always want the ball back. I battle it out in a game of tug of war. I’m super good at playing chase as I love to run, dip and weave.
I don’t mind the beach as long as the water is not cold. I love exploring going for walks or to the park. And I also enjoy quiet time chewing on a bone or treat and reflecting on my day or cuddling up with a blanket.
Medical
I’m desexed and fully vaccinated and wormed. I’m up to date on all my flea and tick treatments too. I don’t have any other medical issues apart from my super power of melting hearts and making friends wherever I go!
Why I am looking for a new home
I’ve been lucky enough to be fostered with a family who have provided me with love and attention and they have helped guide me on my path and want to see me thrive. But they aren’t my forever family!
It’s time for me to move on and find my one and only forever family.
My foster family tell me I need someone who will love me unconditionally who will make me an integral part of their family and daily life; who will help make the best of the short time I have here on this earth. They want my new family to provide me a life full of adventure, love, cuddles, good food and opportunities to live, learn and grow and always have a warm spot to rest my sleepy head!
But mostly someone who will look into my eyes and connect with me instantly and say you’re the one for us, come on bud let’s go home.
