About Mr Ginger
Hello! I'm glad you've come across my profile, I'm Mr Ginger and I'm sure I'll conquer your heart and probably every single place in your house too.
I am social, playful and adorable. I love to be around people and where the action is. Playtime alone or with company will provide endless entertainment for all.
Whilst still slightly skittish due to years on the streets; with a little bit of time, trust and treats I transform into an absolute love bug. Regularly seeking attention, pets and kisses and lots of cuddles on the bed each night when I curl up next to you to sleep.
I am the perfect proof that with love and patience, beautiful changes happen in animals.
Medical notes
Mr. Ginger is FIV+ (Feline Immunodeficiency Virus)
It is important to realize that while it is impossible to predict the survival of a given cat infected with FIV, they can live very normal, healthy lives for many years if managed appropriately.
Casual, non-aggressive contact does not appear to be an efficient route of spreading the virus. As a result, cats in households with stable social structures where housemates do not fight are at little risk of acquiring FIV infections.
How else can I help protect an FIV-positive cat?
Nutrition is important for all cats, FIV positive or not, along with limiting as best as you can their exposure to potential pathogens. These measures are important and can extend an already long life. It is especially necessary for FIV positive cats to be kept indoors, where their immune system will be less exposed. An examination at the vet twice a year is very important.
