Willow is a happy, wriggly girl whose whole backside wobbles when she wags her tail, and that is pretty much all the time she is awake ! She loves attention and affection and is a wonderful family dog who will follow at your heels (so just a warning that she could pose a bit of a trip hazard for the elderly/very young).
Willow is very dog social off lead: she doesn't get rattled even when a dog gets in her face, she just wants to play. On lead when she's out on ta walk and sees other dogs she barks and lunges until they pass. This is in excitement rather than aggression however will need working on and she needs a confident handler. She has potential to improve with persistence and regular walks. Willow is also quite strong on the lead but is managable with a Halti or Sporn halter. Willow is rather overweight, which means daily exercise should be part of a regime her new owner will need to put in place to see her reduce weight into the future.
Willow is fairly obedient, although being a typical lab can get distracted when excited, and she's excited a lot! Another Labrador trait is that she always has to have something in her mouth. A true retriever characteristic. She's good in the car, and doesn't not dig or bark much. Can jump up when excited but never at people. We are told she came from a home with children although since being in care this is untested, as is her reaction to cats.
Willow is a fantastic dog who just needs a bit more training when on lead to make her the pawfect new family member. If you can welcome her into a loving and inclusive home we'd love to hear from you.
