About Red
Red is a beautiful cuddy loveable kelpie mix. He is loved by everyone even cat people lol. He is very content to spend his day with you, following you and being on you. He is after someone to spend his days with, so is looking for someone home most of the time, he does not like being away from his special people. Red likes his people so much he prefers not to share them with another animal. He loves to play with toys and chew toys and enjoys when you join in. Red is happy to meet and be around people of all ages and loves to receive pats from everyone, he may jump at first greetings and need reminders to keep all four paws on the ground. Red enjoys car rides once he settles.
Red’s age is a little bit of a mystery, he came to us from a pound as a 4-year-old but the vet agrees that he is older and probably is more around 7-8 years old. Red can be a little nervous with changes and starts to pant, but soon settles with his person’s support and reassurance.
His is crate trained and happy to sleep there for the night or preferably in your bed. Red is looking for a home where he will get to spend time inside throughout the day and overnight. Red is a bit of a puller on the lead, especially when he sees another dog, he will need training around this so you both get to enjoy the walk. Reds carer has been taking him to group dog training classes as a form of enrichment and enjoyment for both of them. He can still do what is expected of him even when there is a lot going on around him. He enjoys the obstacle course.

Adoption details
Please note- we do not work on a first in best dressed basis, we assess all applications to choose the home that we believe will best match the animal.
If you believe one of our animals would be a good match for your home please send us a detailed email us with some information about the people and any other animals in your home as well as the type of lifestyle you can offer a new rescue pet. We are volunteerswho run the rescue around families, paid employment and other commitments so your patience is appreciated.
We do require any other dogs in your home meeting our foster animal before they head home with you. This enables us to assess their compatibility and helps prevent them being returned and creating more confusion/insecurities for the foster animal.
All our animals are available for a two week trial with full refund. They are also covered by a lifetime return policy. If you ever find yourself unable to care for or keep your pet please contact us and they will come back into our care, this is a condition of our Adoptions.
