Momotaro (meaning Peach Boy) came into care as a very frightened young puppy. It appears that he missed the very crucial stages of socialisation, so he finds lots of things quite scary.
He will need a patient home that will be 100% committed to his training by continuing lots of positive introductions to dogs and people.
Group obedience training will be very beneficial for Momotaro.
Whilst in care, he has warmed up to the resident dogs, a Bull Arab X who he enjoys having a play with, and a grumpy old schnauzer which he has learned to ignore, and understands that boisterous play is not for everyone!
He quickly became very loving and comfortable in his foster home consisting of 2 adults and 3 children. He will be a very loving and loyal dog to the people that he knows. He still has a long way to go with meeting strangers and other dogs when out and about, but patience and continuous training will be crucial to this gorgeous boys development. He can sit, shake hands and drop and has been crate training nightly, so sleeps in his crate with minimal fuss all through the night.
Momotaro has grown fond of his foster mum and loves to stay by her side and follow her around. He loves a cuddle and some yum yums, so as long as you have some treats in hand, he can learn to love you too!
